Envisioning the Second Century at Collegiate

Develop a Comprehensive Direction for Collegiate’s second century that advances the tradition of excellence

Purpose

As Louisville Collegiate School approaches the celebration of its first 100 years of preparing diverse students for a lifetime of global engagement and local responsiveness, we must also focus on our future.

The purpose for establishing 2C² is to develop a comprehensive direction for Collegiate’s second century that advances our tradition of excellence – what it means to “Stand Out. Be Collegiate.” This visioning process will address the interrelationship between programs, people, facilities / technology, and financial sustainability. The intent is to identify innovative programs that will allow our students to excel, to assure our campus master plan supports programmatic needs, and to prioritize our resources accordingly.

The goals of 2C² include:

• Establishing a comprehensive direction that will lead Collegiate into the next century
• Obtaining input from each of the constituency groups of the Collegiate community
• Identifying and prioritizing programmatic needs which support the school’s mission, vision, and strategic objectives
• Enhancing the value of a Collegiate education
• Developing a plan that carries the school through its Centennial celebration

Timeframe

January 2010 – Kickoff 2C²
September 2010 – Present results of 2C² at Board retreat
