JOB DESCRIPTION
LOUISVILLE COLLEGIATE SCHOOL
REPORTS TO:
Head of Middle School
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working closely with colleagues in the Mathematics Department,
the 7th grade team, and the Head of Middle School, the Mathematics
teacher will teach 2 to 3 sections of Pre-algebra for the
2008-2009 academic year. A strong candidate will promote
high levels of learning in an engaging and effective manner
using a variety of instructional methodologies and curriculum
resources.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience teaching middle level mathematics.

Experience teaching middle level students preferred.

A bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a related
field is required, advanced degree preferred.

Proven ability to differentiate instruction when necessary
to reach all levels of learners.

Ability to integrate technology into the curriculum.

Collaborative spirit in developing ideas and teaching
methods with other members of the mathematics department.

Proven organization skills.
-
Good communication skills with both students and parents.
