Middle School
Collegiate’s Middle School
helps students ease into adolescence by supporting character
development, confidence and imagination through a strong
advisory program, high expectations and frequent communication
with home.
Lockers without locks emphasize trust,
mutual respect and honesty. A challenging academic program
fosters strong study skills and inspires a thirst for
knowledge. Whether in the classroom or out, on the athletic
field or through enrichment opportunities, Middle School
students gain a sense of who they are and who they will
become.
Middle School exposes students to
a broad array of ideas through a challenging academic
program of English, math, science, foreign language,
history, physical education, and the arts. It is a time
when content deepens and concepts become more complex.
Peer into any Middle School classroom
and you will notice the care and attention each teacher
gives to each students. Our teachers no only teach,
but they invest themselves in the lives of their students.
Throughout Middle School, students
begin to develop a deeper sense of responsibility towards
the world around them. Through the Service Learning
Program, students devote 20 hours during the semester
to various Louisville organizations and charities, including
the Boys and Girls Club of America, the Louisville Zoo
and the Zoom Group, an organization devoted to helping
mentally challenged adults experience a sense of community
involvement.
Fine arts and athletics also
expand during Middle School, as students are able to
explore and discover new passions through an almost
endless variety of enrichments and co-curricular activities.
The richness of the Middle School experience truly adds
excitement to student life.
