Collegiate’s Middle School helps students
ease into adolescence by continuing to develop their character,
confidence and imagination. Students are challenging academic
program with a strong advising and support system.
The Middle School prides itself on recognizing
and rewarding both effort and accomplishment in academics,
athletics, and citizenship. The Middle School experience enables
students to grow, learn and discover their individuality.
Collegiate provides students with an innovative
curriculum using the best researched methodology available.
Qualified and caring teachers teach all courses.
The Middle School academic schedule entails
50-minute class periods of English, advanced math, science,
foreign language, history, physical education, and the arts.
The use of technology is encouraged through classroom computers,
wireless laptops, and computer labs for research, projects,
and class presentations.
The Library Media Center provides a research
support tool for students and teachers alike.
Each student participates in character education
curriculum taught once a week. This program focuses on relationship
development, goal setting, and drug and alcohol awareness.
Students also participate in Service Learning,
a requirement of 8-20 hours per student of community service
at different Louisville organizations and charities. Service
Learning allows students a chance to build a lifelong commitment
to philanthropy. Students commit thousands of hours to community
service every year through Middle School service initiatives.
Athletics play a vital role in building character and sportsmanship
in every Middle School student.
