Dear Prospective Families:
Welcome to Louisville Collegiate
School, the oldest JK-12 independent school in the Louisville
area.
We are thrilled
that you are exploring Louisville Collegiate as the
choice for your child’s education. Here at Collegiate,
we are eager to show you why families, like yours, value their
child’s/children’s education and therefore have
become a part of the Collegiate community.
As
our mission statement states, we prepare talented,
diverse students to pursue a college
education and a lifetime of learning. In short, students at
Louisville Collegiate School stand out. They boast characteristics
of bright, caring and highly motivated individuals. We also
believe that the most effective learning environment includes
an appreciation for diversity; racial, cultural, socio-economic,
gender and geographic. Therefore, the faculty and staff are
committed to bringing diversity into the classrooms.
Collegiate’s
exceptional faculty challenges our students to stretch
their academic limits every day. Our liberal-arts curriculum
begins in Junior kindergarten with an introduction to Spanish
and concludes with an experiential Capstone program their
senior year. We are proud that our graduates leave Collegiate
well prepared for highly competitive colleges throughout the
United States and Canada.
We welcome your
interest in Collegiate and while this site can provide
you with an introduction to Collegiate, there is no substitute
for visiting campus and experiencing our community first-hand.
The real action occurs in the classroom. We invite you to
call us for a personal tour to experience first-hand what
makes Louisville Collegiate truly great.
We also encourage
all prospective Collegiate parents to attend our fall
“See Us In Action” mornings, and we invite
prospective students in grades 3 through 12 to shadow a current
Collegiate student for a day.
The Collegiate
faculty, staff
and admission office will be thrilled to show you what
Collegiate has to offer!
Stand out.
Be Collegiate.
