Charlotte Williams Price '43
An
accomplished and gifted sculptor, Charlotte Williams Price
'43 has devoted her life to preserving the arts in her community.
Her work has graced the grounds and halls of several institutions
throughout the country, particularly in the Louisville area.
The fact that many of her sculptures are located at educational
and religious institutions is indicative of her character
and passions.
Some of Charlotte's art that is on display
in Greater Louisville, includes
St. Francis at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church;
"Iva," a life-size figure of a
girl at the Home of the Innocents
"Frolic," a bronze sculpture located at the Health
Sciences Center at the University of Louisville; and,
The Collegiate Distinguished Alumna/us Award
(that she will receive) in the Glenmary Shop on the Collegiate
campus.
"There is nothing so satisfying as a
reasonably healthy obsession, and Collegiate allowed me the
freedom to develop my own."
