Collegiate's 2007-2008 Annual Giving Campaign, "Creating Opportunities. Shaping Students," has surpassed its $485,000 goal, exceeding the $500,000 mark and rising. The Alumni community also surpassed its $41,688.69 goal by giving $43,655.30 to date.
Annual Giving Campaign Chair Sarah Parker '83 gives credit to the Collegiate community for supporting this spectacular fundraiser. "Once again our community showed its dedication to Collegiate with its many generous gifts," she said. "Collegiate is truly a unique educational institution, and we are grateful for the support from our parents, alumni, teachers, staff and friends."
Collegiate alumna Tracy Rigor '83 served as alumni chair for this year's Annual Giving campaign.
Several donor groups contributed 100 percent participation to the campaign: faculty, staff, maintenance staff and the Collegiate Board of Trustees.
Funds raised through the Annual Giving campaign are used to provide need-based financial assistance for qualified students, faculty salaries, facilities upkeep and programs like arts, athletics, professional development and technology. More than $1.3 million in financial aid was awarded for the 2007-2008 school year, thereby, increasing economic, social and cultural diversity in the school.
