Statesman Foundation of America’s 2008 Election Symposium,
which selects students to attend the convention based upon
academic performance and interest in the political process.
He will also attend Democratic convention events with the
Kentucky delegation.

the school newspaper Pandemonium for the past 18 months. His
editorials in the paper display his passion for politics with
a fine-tuned and opinionated style. Joe’s trip to the
Democratic Convention follows years of political involvement,
including work as a page in the Kentucky State Legislature,
and as a “Get Out the Vote” volunteer at Jefferson
County Democratic Headquarters in 2007. He is also an accomplished
cross-country runner and tennis player.
The Junior Statesman Foundation is a national
non-profit organization devoted to fostering young people’s
interest in politics and government. The foundation, created
in 1934, seeks to stimulate political debate and the exchange
of ideas and viewpoints among students. The 2008 Election
Symposium, sponsored by JSA, offers students a behind-the-scenes
look at the national convention of each political party.
Louisville Collegiate School neither supports
nor endorses any political party or candidate.
