LOUISVILLE, KY. – Louisville Collegiate School is pleased to announce this year's four Merit Scholars: Lucas Boatwright, Olivia Duff, Sadie Harlan, and Han Nguyen. Olivia Duff currently attends Sacred Heart Model School, and she will join Louisville Collegiate eighth-grade students Lucas Boatwright, Sadie Harlan, and Han Nguyen as a member of Collegiate's Class of 2012. These students have earned half tuition, renewable scholarships toward their high school career at Louisville Collegiate School.

To be considered, students were required to take the CTP standardized test, write a formal essay, submit a letter of recommendation from a current teacher, and, if selected as a finalist, interview with a selection committee. From the fifteen finalists, four were selected as Merit Scholars.

The Louisville Collegiate School Merit Scholars program is a highly selective, merit-based scholarship opportunity that recognizes outstanding students based on superior academic achievement, standardized test score results, and the potential for significant contribution while attending Collegiate Upper School and thereafter.
