Babs Robinson named Collegiate Trustee President

Robinson succeeds Phoebe Wood as head of school’s governing board

LOUISVILLE, KY. – Louisville Collegiate School’s Board of Trustees recently announced that Babs Robinson has been named the 2007-2008 Board President. Robinson is a 1980 Collegiate alumna, parent and local volunteer. She succeeds Chief Financial Officer of Brown-Forman Corporation Phoebe Wood, who remains on the board as the chair of the Committee on Trustees.

Working with Robinson on the Board are President of U.S. Specialties and Collegiate former parent Paul Bickel who will serve as vice president; 1977 Collegiate associate and parent Martha Dunbar Hall who will serve as secretary; chairman and CEO of Hilliard Lyons and Collegiate parent James Allen, who will serve as treasurer. Other members of the Executive Committee are General Manager of Monogram for GE Consumer and Industrial and Collegiate parent and 1974 alumna Merrell Wall Grant and Collegiate parent and shipbuilding businessman Barker Price.

Returning Board members include University of Louisville professor and Distinguished Scholar in the Kent School of Social Work and Collegiate parent Anita Barbee; Collegiate parent and former management consultant Leslie Geoghegan; President of the Leadership Louisville Center Christine Johnson; local volunteer and Collegiate parent Kathy Olyer, Chairman and CEO of IMC Licensing and Collegiate parent Stephen Reily, Director of the Gordon V. and Helen C. Smith Foundation and former Collegiate parent Cindy Skarbek; former President of Brown-Forman Bill Street; retired executive and Collegiate parent Caldwell Willig; Senior Engineer for Qore, Inc. and Collegiate parent Bashar Masri; and BellSouth Project Manager, 1976 Collegiate associate and parent Missy Dorval Stevens.

New Trustees include Collegiate parent and local volunteer Tracy Blue; local volunteer Beth Davis; President of Tandem Public Relations Sandra Frazier; and President of Poe Investments LLC and Collegiate parent Steve Poe. Ann Rankin Fleming, Collegiate 1985 alumna and parent, as President of the Parents Association will serve as the parent representative on the board.
