Louisville Collegiate School to host farmer’s market
SAGE Dining Services will sponsor event
Nov. 16 from 1-3 p.m.
LOUISVILLE, KY. – Louisville Collegiate
School and SAGE Dining Services will host a farmer's market
on Friday, Nov. 16 from 1-3 p.m. at the school’s Highlands
campus, located at 2427 Glenmary Ave.
SAGE Dining, which contracts with Collegiate
for its food service, wants to raise community awareness toward
sustainability and to develop relationships with local suppliers
through the farmer’s market, said Rachael Reigelman,
director of SAGE Dining at Collegiate.
Fox Hollow Farms and Kentucky Bison Company
will be on site with their products available for purchase.
Fox Hollow Farms specializes in grass fed beef and will have
different cuts of ground beef available for purchase, and
Kentucky Bison Company will have several cuts of bison meat
products available for purchase.
Reigelman will be on site conducting food
demonstrations, utilizing the products available for purchase
and produce available from local farms, which are distributed
by Grasshoppers Distribution.
Established in 1915, Louisville Collegiate
School is a co-ed college-preparatory independent school for
students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
