Louisville Collegiate School Commences 94th Year
Excitement Builds for First Day of School and Convocation
Ceremony
LOUISVILLE, KY. – Louisville
Collegiate School will begin its 94th school year with
Convocation ceremonies set for Monday, August 24 beginning
at 9:00 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. in the Mary Rodes Lannert
Athletic Center. Brief comments by Board of Trustees
President Barker Price, Head of School Scott
Prince, and Student Body President Nora Inman
will precede the pairing of senior and first grade “buddies”
who will process out of Convocation.
Following the ceremony will be the
annual First Day of School (FDOS) outdoor celebration
by Upper School students. Dividing up into Blue (10th
grade and 12th grade) and Gold (9th grade and 11th grade)
teams, students will indulge in Tug-Of-War and dodgeball
competitions and a dress code “fashion show.”

Louisville Collegiate School is a JK-12, co-ed independent
day school located in the historic Highlands neighborhood
of Louisville, Kentucky.
