 |  Upper School Math Team Finishes Fifth out of 33 Schools
The Upper School Math Team took fifth place overall in the Greater Louisville Math League. More than 100 students in each grade took place in the competitions and Collegiate had the following students finish in the top ten after four competitions:
9th grade- Coley Sullivan finished in 6th place and Rachel Cooper finished in 9th place
10th grade- Thuy-vy Nguyen finished in 4th place and Diana Perkins finished in 7th place
11th grade- Jason Guo finished in 4th place and Corinne Asher finished in 10th place

   Author Rosalind Wiseman Speaks at Collegiate Rosalind Wiseman, internationally recognized author and educator on children, teens, parenting, education and social justice, recently spoke to students, faculty and staff at Collegiate. Her work aims to help parents, educators and young people successfully navigate the social challenges of young adulthood.

 Louisville Collegiate School Appoints 13th Head of School
On behalf of the Board of Trustees and the Head of School Search Committee, it gives us great pleasure to announce the appointment of Dr. James Calleroz White as Louisville Collegiate School’s 13th Head of School, effective July 1, 2013.

      Varsity Soccer player Maya Berkley '14 Composes "Hiroshima Lovers" 16 year-old Maya Berkley just completed an 11-month study abroad in Germany as a Congress-Budenstag Youth Exchange student ambassador. While there, she composed Hiroshma Lovers, a stirring heartfelt piece for string and woodwind that had it's world premiere in Louisville, August 4, 2012.

 Former Headmaster Chip MacKelcan Passes Away Former Collegiate Headmaster Douglas W. “Chip” MacKelcan died July 30th in Sanibel, Florida. Chip was Collegiate’s seventh Headmaster, leading the school from 1981-1988 through its transition to co-education.

  Louisville Collegiate School Celebrates 96th Commencement Louisville Collegiate School celebrated its 96th Commencement on Friday, May 25. The 53 members of the Class of 2012 matriculate to colleges and universities all around the United States. The class selected Upper School History teacher Jon Arnold to give the commencement address while Taylor Thompson '12 served as the student speaker. Eleven members of the class are Collegiate "Lifers" meaning they attended the school from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Congratulations!

  Tornado Relief: Help out Henryville Schools!
On March 2, tornadoes ripped through parts of Indiana and KY. Just 22 miles north of Louisville, Henryville took a devastating blow, with several of their schools destroyed. Students and teachers have lost not only their buildings, but also the supplies necessary to make learning possible.
Louisville Collegiate School will join Panera Bread and 102.3 The MAX, in helping to replenish their school supplies.

    Collegiate Celebrates Record Enrollment Collegiate opened the 2011-2012 school year with 692 students, an increase of more than 30 students from the opening day enrollment last year, and the largest opening day enrollment in the school’s history.
