Patricia Trost Friedler
Scholarship for Young Women
The Louisville Collegiate School is proud to announce
the Patricia Trost Friedler Scholarship for Young Women!
Established
in 2008 by Sallie Bingham ’54, this scholarship
is named in memory of her classmate Patricia Trost Friedler
and is intended to provide financial support to a female
student who demonstrates exceptional creativity through
school or extra-curricular involvement.
Interested students will be required
to complete a creative essay which reveals her art form
of choice; submit a letter of recommendation from a
current teacher; and, if selected as a finalist, interview
before a selection committee.
“The Patricia Trost Friedler
Scholarship for Young Women joins the robust scholarship
opportunities offered by Louisville Collegiate School,”
said Scott Prince, Head of School.
“Sallie Bingham’s generosity
will allow a young woman who exemplifies Collegiate’s
ideals of academic excellence, extracurricular involvement
and creativity, to inspire others in the community and
to develop her talents under the tutelage of our Upper
School instructors.”
The Scholarship recipient receives
up to one-half the cost of tuition for all four years
of Upper School.
In order to be eligible for the Patricia
Trost Friedler Scholarship, applicants must be entering
the ninth grade.
