Mission Statement
Camp Collegiate provides excellent
instruction and challenging activities
in a supportive, safe environment that helps children
grow and experience success. In order to prepare students
for living and leading in a complex global world we
provide an education climate that encourages extraordinary
character, personal development and self-confidence.
YMCA
Childcare Program
The YMCA of Louisville will again provide
daily childcare over the summer months, beginning June
1, 2010. Your child may arrive by 7:00 a.m. to the YMCA
facility at the corner of Ray and Glenmary Avenues.
Departure for the day is by 6:00 p.m.
Families may sign up for one to nine weeks of childcare.
Children attending childcare may also enroll in Camp
Collegiate 2010, while attending the YMCA before and
after camp.
Registration
Online registration is now
available.
Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Full payment by credit card or check is due at the time
of registration. You will be notified if a course is
full or cancelled due to insufficient enrollment.
Mail forms with payment to: Camp Collegiate, Louisville
Collegiate School, and 2427 Glenmary Avenue, Louisville,
KY 40204.
Note: Grade level requirement,
listed with each course description, refers to the student’s
grade in the fall of 2010. Please observe these
guidelines when registering.
Refunds
Refunds less a 40% processing fee are given when a
parent makes a written request at least three weeks
prior to the first class meeting.
Location
Take I-64 to Grinstead Drive and exit.
Proceed west on Grinstead to Ray Avenue (through traffic
lights at Lexington Road and Cherokee Parkway). Turn
left onto Ray Avenue (across the street from the Cave
Hill Cemetery entrance). Collegiate’s parking
lot is on the right. Please watch for the signs. »Location

First
Day of Camp
Every camper must be signed in by a parent or guardian
on the first day (Monday) of each camp session. The
registration table is located in the camp office near
the dining room.
Please park in the Ray Avenue lot and follow signs
which guide campers to the registration area. Parent/guardian
will receive a copy of the carpool instructions and
a carpool number at that time.
Carpool Instructions
Drop your child off in the Ray Avenue
drop-off site ONLY.
Please confirm adult supervision before leaving. A
teacher will assist your child from the vehicle beginning
at 8:50 a.m. No camper is to be dropped off prior to
that time, unless the family has made prior registration
arrangements with the YMCA childcare program.
Teachers will dismiss students at the Ray Avenue carpool
area. Teachers will remain with students for 10 minutes
after the scheduled dismissal time.
If students have not been picked up,
they will be taken by a teacher to the receptionist’s
office located directly inside the school’s main
entrance at the circle drive on Glenmary Avenue. There
will be a $20 fee assessed for late pick-up.
It
is important that children be dropped off and picked
up at the designated times. Please respect our summer
faculty by abiding by these designated times.
Dress Code
Casual, cool clothes and athletic shoes
are necessary for camps and sports. No flip-flops,
clogs or sandals will be allowed. Parents will be
notified if there is a need for special clothing for
a particular event. |
