Welcome to Louisville Collegiate School’s Camps at Collegiate 2008 where campers will have both educational and enrichment opportunities in an atmosphere dedicated to fostering each child’s mental, physical, and creative growth. These opportunities are provided for our students, as well as the entire community. For additional information contact, Summer Camp Director Pamela Lang at (502) 479-0358.

CAMP DATES: Monday, June 2–Friday, July 25

CAMP TIMES: Morning session, 9 a.m.– 12 p.m.
Afternoon session, 12:30–3:30 p.m. Monday–Friday.
These times and days are for all camps unless otherwise noted in the camp description.

CAMP COST: $150 per session *unless otherwise noted in the camp description.
*A discount of 15% will be given for each camper who is enrolled in both morning and afternoon sessions within the same week. Discount will be honored at time of registration only.

Eligibility
Students from the Greater Louisville community are welcome and encouraged to participate in Camps at Collegiate. The program is open to all, regardless of race, creed, or ethnic origin. Consult specific offerings for age or grade limits.
A limited amount of financial aid is available. Contact the summer camp office at (502) 479-0358 for more information.

Grade Level
Grade level requirements, listed with each course description, refer to the student’s grade in the fall of 2008. Please observe these guidelines when registering.

Campers
Morning half-day campers may stay for lunch, and afternoon campers may arrive a half- hour early for lunch. A $15 per-week fee is charged for this service for half-day campers only. Full-day campers DO NOT pay for Lunch Bunch. Lunch Bunch is from 12– 12: 30 p. m. daily. All campers are to bring their own lunch and drink. All lunches should be marked with student’s name and date. Refrigeration and microwave capability will not be available. No vending service will be available at lunch. Morning campers who stay for Lunch Bunch must be picked up no later than 12:30 p. m.

Lunch and Snack
There will be a supervised lunch room from 12–12:30 p. m. daily for those students who enroll in both morning and afternoon courses, as well as those students who are enrolled in Lunch Bunch. All campers are to bring their own lunch and drink. All lunches should be marked with student’s name and date. Refrigeration and microwave capability will not be available. A snack will also be provided during each morning and afternoon session. We recommend that campers bring a filled water bottle to carry with them throughout the day.

Registration
Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Full payment is required at the time of registration. You will be promptly notified if a course is full or cancelled due to insufficient enrollment.

Payment Options and Refunds
Register with check or credit card. Make checks payable to Louisville Collegiate School. Refunds, less a 10% processing fee, are given only if a cancellation is made in writing at least three weeks prior to the first class meeting. If a course is filled or cancelled, a full refund will follow.
Payment is expected for all registered days and sessions at time of registration. All course offerings are subject to maximum and minimum enrollment requirements.

Location and Directions
Take I– 64 to Grinstead Drive and exit. Proceed west on Grinstead to Glenmary Avenue (through traffic lights at Lexington Road and Cherokee Parkway). Turn left onto Glenmary Avenue (the first street after Cherokee Parkway). Collegiate is in the second block on the right. The receptionist’s office is located directly inside the school’s main entrance at the circle drive on Glenmary Avenue. Please do not park in the circle drive (see Drop-Off and Pick-Up instructions).

Car pool Directions
Summer drop- off/ pick-up is located on Glenmary Avenue unless
otherwise noted. Please do not drop-off and pick-up in the circle drive.

First Day of Camp
Every camper must be checked in by a parent or guardian at the beginning of camp on Monday mornings. The registration tables will be located in the dining room. The dining room is located directly to the right of the receptionist’s area just inside the school’s main entrance at the circle drive on Glenmary Avenue. Please do not park in the circle drive.

Drop–Off and Pick-up
Drop your child off at the Glenmary Avenue drop-off site ONLY. Please confirm adult supervision before leaving. A counselor and/or teacher will help assist your child from the vehicle beginning at 8: 50 a.m. No camper is to be dropped off prior to 8:50 a. m.
Staff members will accompany and dismiss students at the Glenmary Avenue carpool area. Staff members will remain with students for 10 minutes.
If students have not been picked up, they will be taken by a staff member to the receptionist’s office located directly inside the school’s main entrance at the circle drive on Glenmary Avenue. It is important that children be dropped off and picked up at the designated times. Please respect our summer faculty by abiding by these designated times.

Dress Code
Casual and cool clothes and athletic shoes are necessary for camps and sports. No flip- flops, clogs, or sandals will be allowed (for your child’s safety). Parents will be given advance notice, in writing, if students will travel off campus or need special clothing for particular events. All campers should bring a filled water bottle to carry with
them throughout the day.

Counselor Program
High school students (15 years or older) and college students are encouraged to apply for counselor positions. Interested students should contact the summer camp office at 479-0358 for details and
