Voluntary
giving is a tradition
among independent non-profit
schools like Collegiate, which has a rich history of
support from its community over the last 91 years. Tuition
alone does not cover the full expense of a Collegiate
education, nor does it provide the substantial funds
needed for financial aid, faculty professional growth,
technology updates and the addition of new buildings
and other major capital projects.
As a JK-12, co-educational independent
school, Collegiate does not receive any money from
local, state, and federal governments. This independence
provides numerous opportunities for Collegiate to develop
challenging, innovative and creative academic programs
that set themselves apart from everyone else. It also
means the school is fully dependent on tuition and charitable
gifts to support the faculty and the wide range of programs
that are offered.
Collegiate depends upon the many
constituents of the Collegiate community –
alumni, the Board of Trustees, current families, past
parents, grandparents, faculty, staff and friends –
to support the various programs and funds throughout
the year. This strong commitment of voluntary giving
creates a partnership between the school and the Collegiate
community to provide the highest quality education and
opportunities to fulfill the school’s mission
in creating the leaders of tomorrow, today.
